Beloved in Christ,

In these times of uncertainty and natural disaster, we, the Council of Bishops of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the USA, come to you with a heartfelt appeal to unite in prayerful support for all those affected by hurricane Milton approaching the state of Florida. Our thoughts and fervent prayers extend to the many communities, families, and individuals who face the dangerous path of the storm.

We specifically call upon the faithful to offer intercessory prayers for the Ukrainian Orthodox parish of the Protection of the Mother of God in Dover, FL, and Holy Archangel Michael Ukrainian Orthodox Parish in Pinellas Park, FL as well as all Orthodox communities in Florida that stand in the path of hurricane Milton. May our merciful Lord shield them, their families, and their homes from harm.

In moments of trial and fear, we remember the presence of God, who calms the winds and stills the storm. We trust in the mighty intercession of the Most Holy Birth-Giver of God, the one who covers us with her protecting veil, and in the heavenly hosts, especially the Archangel Michael, the divine defender of the faithful.

We urge all parishes of our Holy Church to offer prayers during Divine Services for the protection, strength, and well-being of the people in Florida, as well as for all affected by this calamity.

As one family in Christ, let us also commit ourselves to acts of compassion and aid for those who may suffer loss in this storm.

With the blessing of our merciful Lord and the prayers of His Most Pure Mother, may all be kept safe.

Prayer for Protection in the Time of a Hurricane Milton

O Lord our God, You who calm the raging seas and bring peace to the storm, we humbly ask for Your protection over all those in the path of this hurricane. Guard and shelter Your servants, especially the faithful of the Protection of the Mother of God Ukrainian Orthodox Parish in Dover, FL and Holy Archangel Michael Parish Ukrainian Orthodox Parish in Pinellas Park, FL and all Your people in Florida and beyond who face danger.

Through the intercessions of the Most Holy Birth-Giver of God, our quick defender, and Holy Archangel Michael, the protector of the faithful, shield their homes, their communities, and all who dwell therein from harm. Grant them courage, peace, and safety.

Look down in mercy upon all affected by this storm, that they may feel Your loving presence, and deliver them from all tribulation.

For You are the Almighty Protector and Savior, and to You we ascribe glory, together with Your eternal Father and Your all-holy, good, and life-giving Spirit, now and ever and unto the ages of ages. Amen.

У ці часи невизначеності та стихійного лиха ми, Собор Єпископів Української Православної Церкви США, звертаємося до вас із сердечним закликом об’єднатися у молитовній підтримці всіх постраждалих від урагану Мілтон, що наближається до штату Флорида. Наші думки та палкі молитви лунають до Бога за численні громади, родини та окремих людей, які перебувають на небезпечному шляху бурі.

Особливо закликаємо вірних нашої Церкви помолитись за Українські Православні парафії Покрова Пресвятої Богородиці в Довер, штат Флорида, та Святого Архангела Михаїла в Пінеллас Парк, штат Флорида, а також за всі православні громади Флориди, які стоять на шляху урагану Мілтон. Нехай наш милосердний Господь захистить їх, їхні родини та домівки від зла.

Молитва про захист під час урагану Мілтон

Господи Боже наш, Ти, що втихомирюєш бурхливе море і бурі, смиренно просимо Твого захисту над усіма, хто на шляху цього урагану. Заступи і охорони слуг Твоїх, особливо вірних Української Православної Парафії Покрова Пресвятої Богородиці в Довер та Парафії Святого Архангела Михаїла в Пінеллас Парк, і всіх Твоїх людей у ​​Флориді та за її межами, які стикаються з небезпекою.

Заступництвом Пресвятої Богородиці і святого Архистратига Михаїла, захисти від біди їхні доми, їхні громади та всіх, хто в них живе. Дай їм мужність, спокій і безпеку.

Зглянься милосердно на всіх, хто постраждав від цієї бурі, щоб вони відчули Твою люблячу присутність, і визволь їх від усіх скорбот.
